As well as cleaning the air, the OHAir® Constant Stream Effect pours hydroxyls over all the surfaces in the room, destroying bacteria, viruses, mould spores or odour particles clinging to your floors, work space, benches, tables and more.

Reliable long-term operation

As OHAir® technology has few moving parts you can rely on it to keep working day in day out. Approximately every 12 months or so you’ll need to replace the HGU (Hydroxyl Generation Unit), but this is not an expensive component and you can replace it yourself without a service call.

Low power requirement means you can run your OHAir unit 24-hours a day without running up a big electricity bill. It uses about the same amount of power as a 30-watt light bulb.

How does OHAir compare to other treatment systems?



Devices generate positively and negatively charged particles. The electric discharge released into the air reacts with VOC’s. However the impact and level of benefit is not scientifically validated.


Has a very limited range in the generation of charged particles. Airborne particles are charged by the ions through ionic bonding. These charged particles stick together increasing their size allowing them to be removed by even low grade filters. May produce dangerous amounts of ozone. Does not produce hydroxyl radicals.


(Electrostatic precipitator)


Devices use an electrical charge to remove particles from the air by requiring the air to pass over a series of plates which are either negatively or positively charged.


Requires all the air in the room to pass over the plates. May produce a dangerous level of ozone. Does not produce hydroxyl radicals.


(Electrostatic precipitation)


Particles entering the devices chamber receive an electric charge but there is no plate with an opposite charge to capture the particles so they are released back into the air.


Requires all the air in the room to pass over the plates. Charged particles then adhere to the surface in the room were they can be a risk for allergies or asthma relief. May produce a dangerous level of ozone. Does not produce hydroxyl radicals.

Uses a filter system to trap airborne particles that are drawn into the chamber.


All air has to be drawn into the filter, which require cleaning upon saturation. Variations in particle size may limit effectiveness of filtering system.
